Why we built deezbills & Fred.

Financial peace should be for everyone.

Our mission is to make financial intelligence accessible to everyone, so more people can spend less time worrying about money and more time enjoying their lives.

You shouldn’t have to become a financial expert.

There’s plenty of financial information. Figuring out what it means for your income, your family and your future is the hard part.

A chart can show where your money went. An article can explain a tax rule. You still have to connect the dots, weigh the trade-offs and work out what to do. We believe that help should be available even if you don’t have the time to study finance or the money to hire someone.

For everyone with a life to live.

The delivery driver between orders. The waitress after a long shift. The barista opening up before sunrise. The creator whose income changes every month.

Everyone deserves help understanding their options, whatever they earn and however much they know about money. We’re building deezbills to make that help part of everyday life: personal, understandable and easy to act on.

That’s why we built Fred.

Fred brings your financial picture together with research, calculations and a plan that fits your life. He considers how the steps affect each other, from today’s spending to taxes, debt and longer-term goals.

He remembers the context you share, explains his reasoning and helps carry out the changes you approve in deezbills. You can ask a question in your own words and work through it with him, without starting from scratch every time.

A good life belongs in the plan.

Dinner with friends. A visit home. An evening where you’re fully present. The point of managing money is having more room for the things that matter to you.

We want you to know what you can enjoy guilt-free today while caring for your future. Sometimes that means a confident yes. Sometimes it means finding a different way or making a plan to get there. Your life is what the plan is for.

Your trust has to be earned.

You should be able to understand a recommendation, inspect the assumptions and sources, and decide what happens next. Financial intelligence is useful when it helps you make your own decisions with more clarity.

Fred is an AI financial copilot, not a licensed financial advisor. He can make mistakes and does not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Young adults are already asking AI.

In BMO’s June 2024 survey of 2,500 Canadian adults, 55% of Gen Z respondents reported using AI to help manage finances and investments. Adoption shows demand for help; it doesn’t establish the quality of the answers.

Time and a meaningful life matter too.

A 2019 longitudinal study of graduating university students found that valuing time over money predicted greater happiness a year later. This informs our attention to people’s priorities, alongside their financial needs.
