1. Program overview.

deezbills uses SMS for account verification, notifications, and Fred conversations.

deezbills is a personal finance platform. SMS is used for account verification, account notifications (budget alerts, bill reminders), and user-initiated conversations with Fred, our AI financial companion. Users opt in through the in-app settings page. SMS is entirely optional - consent is not a condition of purchase.

2. Opt-in flow.

Users opt in through a clear, branded consent form inside the app.

Step 1: A user signs into deezbills and navigates to Settings, then enables SMS notifications or Fred SMS conversations. Step 2: The user enters their mobile phone number in the SMS settings form. Step 3: The user reads and agrees to the SMS consent language by checking the consent checkbox. Step 4: The user clicks "Enable SMS" to submit. A verification code is sent to confirm the number. Step 5: SMS is entirely optional. A user can use deezbills without enabling SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

3. Branded opt-in example.
